Does it seem like it would be overkill to use Harrison's Internal Med. as a primary study resource for Step 1? It seems like there are plenty of resources out there for Pharm, Path, Phys, ect., but not much in terms of integrative/clinical medicine. Could someone who has taken step 1 give an opinion on whether an additional clinical medicine text would be helpful?

Thanks

HARRISONS! Way too much info. It is hard enough to get a handle on the info that is in First Aid let alone to get your head around everything in Harrisons.

Your primary goal should be to memorize FA and then go to other resources once you have done that. If you spread yourself too thin, over too many resources it will only hurt you.

Thanks. I was thinking that would be my strategy. In class lately I had been looking to Harrisons alot, but it doesn't seem organized well for review study and it doesn't have the basic science info we'll need to know.

I appreciate your input.

If you are really into reading, I think you would learn more by using Guyton, then Robbins, then Stobo. IMO Harrison's is the most tortuous 2500 pages out there.
