What's up folks?

So, turns out I have a couple of B-'s after my first year at Harvard Extension (damn). I've got the kinks with my work schedule under control now, so I'm fairly certain I'm going to clean up with A's next year. BUT, does anyone have any experience with the Sponsorship Letter and getting a B-? I know the golden rule is nothing below a B, however I know that measure is only in place to ensure that their students are competitive, which I will be in the long-run (published researcher, and all of that).

Any experience?

EDIT: I didn't mean to come across as sounding like a punk. What I intended to impart to you all is that I have very strong EC's, decent grades overall, and will be studying my ASS off for the MCAT. With that in mind, is the HCP a stickler for that B rule?

Can I ask if you found that your grades were lowered by the intensity of the classes or by working full-time? Sorry, off topic, just curious.

Hope it turns out well for you and thanks again for all the advice.

I think a call to Fixsen/Peterson at HCP will give you the definitive answer, regardless of what SDN HCP students may say. Regardless of whether you can get the sponsorship letter (which, I should remind you, will cost $500), you can get LORs directly from your professors. You can also potentially ask your undergraduate institution for a committee letter and avoid the HCP fee.

Thanks, ghostman. Yeah, I figured I'd have to talk to them. But, I thought I would reach out to see if anyone had already been-there-done-that.

And to the other inquiry: it was a mix of getting back into the science groove and reconciling 40 hours/week and 12+ hours of school...THEN having to find time to study. During the second half of this last semester, I finally got into a solid rhythm, but the damage had been done by that point.

In short: both.
