Does anyone know what time we are supposed to be there and when the day would end??
I am booking my ticket to Boston and still didnt receive my packet in the mail.

Thanks.

There shouldn't be a packet; they'll send you an e-mail. At any rate, I think the day starts at 10 and ends at 4. I could be remembering wrong, though.

Thanks!

how long after they called you did you get the email? They called me on thursday and i still didnt get it.

Well, it was a three day weekend so I wouldn't get too impatient yet. You should be getting it this week.

Yes, it is an email, mine was sent within a week, and I thought the interview day started earlier than 10. I think mine started at 8:15 and finished by 2 pm. In the email you get your secondary application which is due BEFORE the interview. Also, usually interviewees stay with students (info in packet), so keep that in mind for booking your trip. Good luck!

im just a little impatient and nervous because my interview is this upcoming monday. They gave me very short notice.

Any tips or things you remember from your interview?

Yeah, don't drool over the 50" plasma TVs too heavily.

Read the Interview Feedback, cuz it's really helpful.

The day lasted from about 8:30am (but get there early) until 2pm.

The directions to the entrance were not clear at all, so as long as you get in somehow to the admissions floor, even if you have to go through the dental clinic entrance, it's all good. When I went, NONE of the interviewees went through the right entrance. Kristin from admissions could tell, since none of us came in with the name tags that were waiting for us at the RIGHT entrance. =P

They don't provide any breakfast, so eat before you go! I think my past experiences with Pacific spoiled me, so I totally thought Harvard was going to provide something before the interviews. They do provide lunch, which was nice.

Mine was like a real interview. They don't try to make it easy, or hard. Just standard, even though it's open file. So know what you're going to say for questions like "What's one of your greatest weaknesses?" You have two people interview you, and they're each for 45 minutes. Make sure to go with questions prepared.

Harvard requires a research project during the 4 years, so have a topic in mind that's of interest when you go in. They'll want to know if you're okay with the research, since most people aren't.

Ask about their clinical program. It's the polar opposite of Pacific, so that's something you'll want to ask about if that's something you're concerned with.

Congratulations on your interview! Have fun and enjoy it.

Hmm, I didn't get my secondary application / interview packet until Monday or Tuseday (when my interview was on a Friday). I thought that was extremely last minute, but I just thought it was last minute because I was in the first batch. I'm surprised Harvard hasn't gotten better by now. 😕

Then again, it doesn't totally surprise me. I heard from a friend that when he got his acceptance from Harvard, there was a rejection letter addressed to someone else accidentally attached to the backside of his acceptance letter.
