If I apply for MD PHD at a school, would the medical school and MDPHD program view consider my application separately? So, would the medical school program have access to my MD PhD essays? Also, would I interview for both programs MD only and MD PhD separately?

It varies by school. You'll have to check the policies of each school you plan to apply to.

I merged your two threads because this forum is inactive enough that you don't need to ask the same question twice imo. If someone knows the answer they will find you in this thread.

If I recall correctly, Harvard is one of those schools where you can be selected for a MD-only interview if you are not selected for a MD/PhD interview. But my info is getting very old so I'll let someone who's applied more recently answer your question.
