I'm also considering taking some courses at HES. Is what I read in the threads junebuguf listed above true? That there is no curve in any of the HES classes except bio? I am wondering if I would be better off taking the courses I need at BU where I could enroll in the same courses as undergrads and benefit from the curve instead of taking the course at Harvard. I'm especially worried because I was a non-science major.

I'm currently taking gen. chem 1 at Harvard Extension and Professor Logan has made it clear that there is no curve. However, the class is designed so the majority of the students will earn A's and B's. 100% - 85% is an A, 84% - 70% is a B. If a student can not earn, at least, a 75% in general chemistry then...(you all get where I'm going with this)! In a class graded on a curve the majority of the students will earn C's. So, consider the no curve policy as an advantage rather than a hindrance. 👍
Orgo and Physics seem to run more along the lines of 90-100 is an A 85-90 is an A-, Both classes are great at HES. I just finished, and I, along with many of my friends in the program, have already been accepted at great schools. If you have other questions PM me, I am an Orgo TF here at HES but I took all the other Basic Sciences here as well.
