Hi,

I am scheduled for an interview at HSDM next month (Nov.) and want to reach out here on SDN for some advice and perspective about the school. I am a California resident and have never been to Boston. I am also not connected with any dentists who went to HSDM or any current HSDM dental students.

If you are a student at HSDM or an alumnus, I would love to hear about your experience. Please feel free to post here or PM me so that I may ask you specific questions.

Thanks so much! 🙂

Not a student at HSDM, but I can tell you there is a sizable amount of students there that all come from CA. Their curriculum was recently revamped this year, so it will be good to speak to first year and upperclassmen to get a good contrast.

Boston will be cold next month, expect temperatures in the 50s-60s. Interviews there from what I know are pretty small, sometimes one-on-one. The school, faculty/class, and experience is very unique (good unique). I think you will really enjoy your time there. I remember Sam Lee used to be on this forum a while back...not sure if he still is?

Thanks so much for your input, Cyril. That's useful information. How would you recommend I get in touch with first years or upperclassmen at HSDM?

No knowledge on Harvard Dental, but I live in Boston and its an amazing city! If you can, take some time a few days before/after your interview to explore and enjoy. There's tons of history and culture here.
