I am thinking about taking orgo this summer in either harvard or bU.

Harvard offere orgo 1 and 2 for 7 weesk while BU offers both courses for 12 weeks.
so i think BU is better to obsorb.

But peope say(maybe rumor) that it is easier to get A in harvard. I want to know
if it is true. Because I live in Boston area, either one is fine.

Another place is Umass Boston: it mey be even easier that harvard or BU, Right?
I may be wrong. Please give me advices on this.

Thaks in advance.

1) Pick the place where you'll be happiest and most likely to get an A. No one will care if it was 7 weeks or 12 weeks or a whole year.

2) Go with the lowest cost.

3) Work on your English... You'll need it for the MCAT.

I am asking how hard and competitive it is to get A at Harvard summer school. Anybody knows?

Not easy, but doable. It's a year's worth of organic chemistry in 7 weeks. It's virtually impossible to make that easy.

I got into Harvard SSP and I will do it this summer. I have a 3.4GPA unweighted. However i'm going to Rutgers summer school program instead. Closer to home.

Who cares where you go. As long as it's reputable and challenging, shouldn't really matter where you'll go.

Btw don't make the assumption that at UMass it'll be easier. Orgo is Orgo. Chem is Chem. Physics is Physics.

Personally from the choices you've given me, i'd go to BU.

I got an A in Harvard Extension's Ochem but took it in Spring. It was challenging but they teach it very well.

Currently at BU.. they also have very good profs, at same level as Harvard.

In the end, I'd say go for the cheaper one, and the better commute. Not going to really make a difference wrt difficulty.

I don't know where people get this idea. I know people who have taken these courses at multiple universities. The material covered may be the same, but the level of mastery expected on the exams will be different. That said, even easier colleges will more than prepare you for med school.
