Since they're primarily a 6-year school, maybe they were losing too many students to physics. But. I'm totally against dumbing down any program. Schools should be raising their standards. If your students don't make it, too bad. There are plenty of other people wanting to get in that can fill that seat.

I totally agree. I could see maybe dropping physics II, but physics I (even though it can be a boring class) teaches a lot of good concepts that I imagine would apply in pharm school. I don't mean that I think that we'll be solving force/mass equations, etc., but rate constants and similar concepts are used in biochem and pharmacokinetics.

i didn't apply anywhere that required physics in general

My school required physics 1 & 2 and bio 2...

I don't see the big deal if you really want to get in somewhere

Really? Huh. Well, I had to have physics I & II for my undergrad (animal science/veterinary science), so I took them anyway. Idaho State (the only school I'm applying to this year) requires physics I. Some schools just have different requirements for non-biology science, I guess.
