Has anyone ever actually called NBME and gotten through to someone?

I just received an email that says I have to wait 6-8 weeks to register for step I because I (accidentally) requested 'special accommodations.' When I call to tell them about this mistake, I can't seem to get a real person on the phone.

Anyone ever actually talked to someone at NBME? Just wanted to check before I hit redial for the next several days.
