Pharm is killing me, the names of some of these drugs are so similar, and there is no way to memorize every single MOA. I know the test will probably be pharm heavy, what are you guys doing?

Becker pharm was helpful for me teamed with sketchy pharm for stubborn facts that are tough for me to remember

Anki does make it possible to memorize everything. I made all of FA into anki and had it memorized.

I don't know if it was just my form or what but I had next to no pharm questions on my exam. The ones I had felt were either super easy or were about drugs I'd never seen (aka not in FA).

I have the same problem. I loved sketchy micro for micro but thought that sketchy pharm was too cluttered. I couldn't get anything out of it. I was told that at the end of the day, there's no trick. You just have to sit there with some flashcards and memorize the mechanisms, side effects, etc.

Does anyone have a link to any good online flashcard sets? Maybe anki or quizlet?

SketchyPharm works very well. Yes it is cluttered but the stuff they mention show up on exams/qbanks. I actually think a lot of their pharm sketches are composites from UWorld questions.

The trick is to use the sketchy review while doing pharm practice questions. Everytime you see a drug, find the sketchy review and look at the corresponding image. It'll stick very well.

Where can I find these slides
It's part of their course.

Also for whatever source you use, spend a maximum of 20 minutes per day. 5 new drugs and use the balance of the time leftover to review the previously studied drugs. 5 drugs doesn't sound like a lot, but in the span of 1 month you will knock out 150 drugs. I hate pharm so it's the first thing I do when I start my prep in the morning; 20 minutes later I am done with it can move on with my life (for that day at least..haha)

Breaks my heart that you hate pharm, drugs save lives, it seems so interesting to me.

Don't get me wrong, watching hospital pharmacists do their stuff is pretty cool and I'm sure that pharm is pretty cool too when you get deep enough to make a career out of it. However, at our level, we're mostly memorizing shopping lists of crazy foreign names, mechanisms of action, unexplainable (to us) adverse effects, and routes of entry and elimination. It's a pretty dry subject when presented in that way and most medical students at our level hate it because all of the drugs are so daunting to keep track of.
