Has anyone gotten an acceptance rescinded for failing to select commit to enroll by the deadline?

I had a pretty close call today. Today was the deadline, and I had selected planned to enroll back in February when I got my acceptance (as commit to enroll wasn't available). I actually wasn't aware that they were two different things. Fortunately, my dean reminded me to commit to enroll at 4 PM today since he saw I selected plan to enroll.

Would I have been rescinded if I didn't select commit to enroll on time? I feel like this would be a very trivial reason or med schools would at least try to actively communicate with you.

You would think, unless it annoys them that a candidate paid such little attention to such a big detail (possible, but unlikely), or, they are over enrolled and need an excuse to cut someone without compensation (much more possible). You are lucky you are dealing with a decent school; @gonnif has repeatedly posted horror stories about people he knows who got destroyed by this.
