I'm in the first batch and an OOS applicant. I haven't heard back from Creighton since I receive their email in June.

Anyone in the same situation as me???😳

I am also out of state and called their office to follow up on my application. They said that one guy does all the interviews, and because he also has teaching responsibilities, an interview is not necessarily required for admissions. Basically, it will be hard to tell where you stand with this school until after December 3rd.

I am assuming you already sent in your supplementary application and fee? Creighton might be the only school that puts their supplementary application up on their website as they want the application and fee at the time you submit your AADSAS application.

As far as my application goes, I haven't heard anything back yet. Idk about the rest of SDN though

Do they send an application complete e-mail? I submitted my secondary in June and haven't heard anything.

I interviewed with them last month (second batch). There were a total of four people on my interview day which lasted less than an hour (45 minute interview, 15 minute tour. Done.)

Yeah, the dean does every interview and it is AWESOME because you know that there is not an interviewer bias.

I wouldn't worry too much. It's still really early.

Yep.

I'm the same way. I was in the 2nd batch and haven't heard anything since they received my application. Although the idea of being accepted without an interview seems fun, I feel like it would make it hard when it comes time to choose a dental school. The interview is a good chance to see what the school has to offer and see if it fits your style...

Me too. 1st batch...and now that I think about it I don't think I ever received an email from them about receiving my application at all. I submitted my secondary and they cashed my check though so I guess that means they got it. I was really wanting to hear from them too...

I have a feeling that this year, more than in past years, there will be a pretty good handful of people accepted without interviews.

They seriously accept without interviews?? I'm still waiting as well

Does anyone know how many acceptances they gave out without interviews last year?

I recieved an interview invite back in August. I interviewed in early Sept. The girl that took me on the tour was invited without an interview, and based on the conversation I had with her, it seems to be fairly common.

at creighton or in general? why do you say that?

Specifically at Creighton. I say that because of some info a little birdy told me...sounds like interviews are more difficult for the admissions team this year for a variety of reasons. Candidates that they deem strong enough on paper will be accepted with no interview, which happens every year there, but could be more common this year.

It seems like phone interviews would be a better compromise, but I guess they do things their way for a reason.

I'm pretty sure I will need an interview to get accepted based on my DAT score lol

I totally forgot about Creighton too!

I would be honored and delighted to be accepted w/o an interview but I would need to pay a visit to the school anyways to see it haha!

I thought the same thing then I said screw that I'll just google map street view it!

I was told yesterday that all applicants considered for a December acceptance will be notified of interviews before the end of next week or be accepted without an interview. Not really game changing information, but thought I would pass it along nonetheless.

That's awesome news.

Similarly, I was told that at every other school this application cycle, all applicants considered for a December acceptance will be notified of interviews by November 30th or accepted without an interview. If neither of those two things happen, you probably will not be accepted come December 1st.

Did your interviewer review your application and ask questions from that or just use generic quetsions? Thanks

Is this a really bad attempt at a joke?
