I interviewed at the University of Utah a week ago. I don't expect to hear anything for possibly another week or two. I am still curious to hear if anyone else has heard back yet.

I, as well, interviewed at the University of Utah and I have not heard any news yet. I'm not sure when we are going to hear back from them, but I'm hoping by the end of this week to hear something. I'm incredibly anxious and nervous! How did you think your interviews went?

Well my first interview could go either way, it was hard to tell. My second individual and the group interview I think went really well. How about yours?

I'm biting at the bit as well, interview at the U on the 13th, all my interviews went fantastic, I am hopeful, but just wishing the dang call would come. I keep having phantom rings giving me minor heart attacks

Email notifications were sent today. We just stuffed all the hard copy of the letters today and should be in the mail tomorrow. Congrats to all!

Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats? And what was the interview like?
No problem at all. My overall cumulative was a 3.82. I think my prerequisite GPA was a 3.9. GREs were 3.5 writing, 158 verbal reasoning, and 152 quantitative reasoning.

The first two interviews were 15 minutes long and were one on one with a faculty member. The first one was difficult, mostly because I was so nervous and I don't feel like it went all that well. My second one went well and was an enjoyable experience. The questions were all fairly simple. They asked about my undergraduate degree, and why the U. The Group interview on day 2 felt more casual because all the attention wasn't on me. The other two students who interviewed with me were great and we helped each other out. We took turns responding first to questions and allowed each other time to think. Then during the second half of the interview we worked pretty well preparing our short presentation together. No one tried to dominate the conversation. Once again the questions weren't anything to crazy. We did get asked what 3 magazines subscriptions would we be most likely to have.
Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats? And what was the interview like?

I received my acceptance email Wednesday as well! Are you going to attend toper031888?

More than likely. I still need to talk to my wife about it some more before I make a decision, but it is looking like I almost certainly will.

I was selected for an alternate position...what do you believe my chances are for possibly being offered a spot?

topher031888, thank you! Interesting, I have heard that they do at least ask one question that is just random. The two I've heard of were "If you were a tree, what tree would you be?" and "If you won a million dollars, would you still attend PT school?" But thanks for the insight. I'm applying in July 🙂 Congrats again!

I guess it depends if the alternate list is ranked and where you are on that list. I know a handful of students get in off of the list every year. I imagine a good amount of out of state applicants get accepted to their state schools and opt not to attend the U because of cost.
