has anyone heard?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think they go out later in the game, closer to when rank lists have to go in. I think they only send them when programs have interviewed everyone.

I've heard back from 5 of the programs so far, either phone calls or acutal letters. I had 12 interviews in November, 3 in December, and have been done since Dec 12th.

One even sent me a Christmas card saying, "Here's to a successful 2008, including a residency at ___."

I rotated at that school and know the faculty well, so it wasn't completely weird.

Either way, I'm planning on writing again to my top 5 or 6 choices towards the end of January, just letting them know I'm still interested.

sooo....
what do you guys think?
is it a good thing when after the interview, the program coordinator writes you...
... it was a pleasure to meet you too, I hope you Match at your first choice...
I want to intrepret it as a good thing...

Was this Louisville by any chance?

my thought exactly when I read that post. If so, don't read anything into that; they aggressively recruit many, many interviewees. In fact, I wouldn't take any phone call to indicate true interest any more than I would take lack of a call to mean lack of interest. Every program has a different level of contact after the interview.

Has anyone heard from Wash U or Emory after their interviews? Just wondering. Please PM me if you want. Thanks:scared:

😕 I have only received several (obviously) form letters in the mail basically stating: thanks for visiting, hope we answered all of your questions, was nice meeting you, good luck. I realize it was polite of them but it is sure feels like an obvious kick in the pants.
