I know a girl who sued the school because they refused to readmit her after failing the first year...TWICE. They caved and she's back for her third attempt. I wish I knew the details behind the suit, because I can't imagine what would have prompted a school to let a two-time loser like her back in. I honestly feel bad for her future patients--they are ****ed.

I hate the legal system, but her case had merit, if you get a bad evaluation, you could have a 4.0 GPA and they will make you repeat the semester, tuition and all. I wish the legal system were like that in England, where the loser pays the winner's bills. There would be a lot less ridiculous lawsuits.

I'm a proud Republican.

Look at it this way--instead of the school paying her a few million, she's paying the school $20k or $30k, and I'd bet you dollars to your dimes that after she gets ZERO slack this coming year...well, gosh darn it, looks like she failed again!

would you want to sue your dental school even if you had a good reason? i guess it won't be as big a deal if you sue after you graduate but if you're still enrolled... i dunno. i mean, sure you could win but don't you think it'll be kinda awkward going to an institution or to a class of someone you sued? and don't you think the school will kinda have a red target on you and kinda be sharpening their knives for the right moment to get you back? say, you are thinking of specializing and need some recommendations.. who would you ask? the professors that you sued? i dunno, it seems like it's a bit risky and dirty business to sue your school.
