Has anyone with August MCAT only gotten an interview yet?

Hi. I was wondering how many August MCATers have started hearing about interviews for their schools. If you have, can you say when and what school. I don't know at what point I should start getting concerned.

I would not be concerned yet. I have only taken the August MCAT, and I heard from my state school about an interview within a week. I haven't heard from any other schools yet, but it has only been 2 weeks. Its hard not to worry, but its still early in the process.

I would not be concerned yet. I have only taken the August MCAT, and I heard from my state school about an interview within a week. I haven't heard from any other schools yet, but it has only been 2 weeks. Its hard not to worry, but its still early in the process.

Same for me...I'm starting to get annoyed though. I'm happy that I've heard from my state school (which right now is my first choice) but I feel that every other school should send me a secondary, invite me for an interview, or reject me and just get it over with.

I applied to six schools and I haven't even heard back for secondaries for four of them! I don't have a 4.0 and a 40 on my MCAT, but shouldn't a 3.85 and a 30 at least get me some secondaries? (I have extracurrics too)! 😡

WHY ARE THEY PROLONGING THIS TORTURE??? Do you think this is part of the test to see who will make it as a physician? 🙄

I received most of my secondaries way before the MCAT even (I was verified by early August). I am just waiting on UCSF (which I doubt I will get), UNC, Loyola, UPitt and Albert Einstein. I am sure that they are coming.

I took the MCAT in August and was just invited to interview at my state school. However, I'm still waiting on one secondary.

hey, yeah, i ended up doin better on my MCAT and i've gotten 3 interview so far. and I don't have the whole shabang done yet, but hopefully soon enough. just hang in there. if you have questions, u might want to call the school and just talk to someone there. I found it helpful to look up the names of the admissions people and ask for them by name. one guy i saw on SDN asked about his interviewer before his interview and i knew the interviewer so i told him some stuff about the interviewer. people on sdn are nice, u just have to ask the right questions. hang in there.
