It just opens to a blank page now with an (x) button that you can't tap to close.

You mean the old Tapatalk app? I never used it but they stopped supporting it awhile back so that might be the issue. I just use my iPhone safari browser when using my phone.

As happens with some phone apps, tech support eventually wanes. The SDN app was showing the same strings of nonsense characters on posts as the Tapatalk app eventually.
If you liked those apps for the dark mode, the link tells you how to set that up on your usual browser

The bummer is that if you bookmark the EM site and save it to phone "desktop", then it spits out the general forum page upon opening and I don't care what the proles in gen pop have to say .

Do you have an iPhone? My SDN bookmark in favorites (safari) goes directly to the EM forum and so I just click on it like I would any other website. It's formatted for mobile.
