You're a genius! Congrats on those scores and on your GPA!!

... I had spent about 3 days going through my Kaplan book and taking the two practice tests (one on the computer and one in the book). ...I really didn't study as much as a lot of people who have posted...maybe 20 hours max..

There is something wrong with this picture?. Either you are a MEGA-genius or I am MEGA-brainlessssssssss. Even if you knew SCI and Math and ENG, how did you get the PAT score to 20 with only few hours of studying??? 😕

Angee, you have to write a book - ? how to study for DAT in 20 hours or less??. I know, I would buy it. 🙂

nice job! I hope you didnt apply to the same schools I did, because i'll be waiting for you ....with a knife.... just kiddin' 😀

i guess this person set an example of those who are gifted. marvilous GPA, and a killer DAT with minimal studying

I just want to say that, yes, I only spent about 20 hours actually studying for the DAT specifically, but that is after a lot of long hours studying for the classes that the DAT covers...o chem, bio, etc. I think if you actually try to learn the materials in your classes, as opposed to just trying to retain the information for the exams, it makes it a LOT easier to come back and only spend 20 hours to brush up and review for the DAT

I totally agree with you, except what class prepared you for the PAT test? To practice/study the PAT in just a few hours ? you are a genius !!! 👍

I read your post a few days ago, but waited until now to reply (I took the DAT yesterday). I agree with you. However, the way I see it is that acing your classes is the short-term goal while scoring high on the DAT is the longer-term goal. While taking those classes, I'm sure you already had the DAT on your mind. So, in a way, you have studied for the DAT all these times. I agree with you that in order to score high on the DAT, you should not concentrate on the test prep material (I scored poorly on the bio, so I know), but study your own material based on the topics listed on ada.org and use the test prep material as a tool to check/sharpen/polish your knowledge. In any way, I admire you for your outstanding scores. I scored 25 (98.9%) on organic chem and 23 (96.7%) on the general chem (BTW, how come is it possible? (98.9:25) vs (100:29) and (96.7:23) vs (100:29)? Or I missed more than one?) . So, your 29's are very impressive. Plus, I scored ONLY 20 on math. I did not have any problem while reviewing math material. All the math was way too basic for me since I have a BSEE and am very good at math (I can spell out all the trig formulas if you want to know, and these are from the memory from years ago). I was aiming for 25+ on math but... I ran out of time. They threw in a lot of raw calculation on my test and long word problem. So, I ADMIRE you. Great Job!
