I took NBME 2 at the beginning of my studying and got 219. I've been studying for weeks, and tonight I took NBME 6 and got 216. I was sure I would have gone up a fair amount because I feel as though I've learned so much! Help!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I know the feeling too. My scores were the same for a long time when I was studying. Nothing is more frustrating and busting your rear end for weeks to see no improvement (or even a decline) but you have to keep fighting.

I'm sure you have improved. The NBME exams vary in their difficulty from everything that I read. Look into that.

I feel your pain! I've been at or around the same on the first 4 NBME's even tho I've been studying like mad! The good news is I'm passing, the bad news is I've around 450 on each exam, and I can't break into the 220s! With only 2weeks left! I have no idea if it will work or not, but I'm focusing on my weeknesses for these last few weeks, and then will simply take the last three days of studying to do random uworld, robbins, and first aid questions.

Good luck, and if nothing else, know you are not alone.

Thanks for the encouragement. It's nice to know I'm not alone. Rachmaninov, I see you are taking the test 2/12. Me too! How are things going with a couple of weeks left?

how are you doing on time? is time an issue at all...if yes- then speed may help. i know i tend to do worse when i am keeping my eye on the clock...

don't lose confidence. practice can only help.
