Did you pay for it? It should be the same one that schools see if you did. How long ago was the misdemeanor? And are you sure you where convicted of it, rather than just charged but not found guilty later in court.

They are also suppose to give you a free copy for verification and validity prior to sending them to med schools when you apply. This way you can contest to any inaccuracies in it.

yes, i paid for it; it's not 150...it was only 67 bucks. i got a minor in possession [of alcohol] during ~3 years ago. i plead guilty to it and they said they replaced it w/ a "disturbing the peace". i was just wondering if i had to answer 'yes' to those secondary questions about crimes...cbc says i never did anything :O

Well I could be wrong, but I don't think that disturbing the peace is a criminal offense. Sounds like you just got a citation. It will probably show up on public records, though.

Yeah. Sounds like the OP was charged initially with a misdemeanor, but only cited for a minor infraction. Should be ok, but it's worth double-checking whether it was a conviction from a criminal offense or a citation.

Yeah I am pretty sure disturbing the peace is a minor offense and not a misdemeanor but I would double check with whatever state/county it was in.
Also, if you were a minor at the time it might not show up anymore. Either way your weren't convicted of it and don't need to answer yes to the question regarding misdemeanors.

but on some secondaries, they ask : Have you ever been convicted of a crime, or pleaded guilty and been placed on...blah blah?
On a few, I have answered yes. I don't know if this will be detrimental to my application.

I'm thinking that I should answer 'no' to some of them and see what happens lol

First off, writing CBC in a medical forum is confusing if you don't mean complete blood count.

No, it won't kill your chances or anything, especially if you explained it. Honestly, though, you should have answered "no" to every secondary, and should to any future one. A disturbing the peace infarction essentially amounts to a traffic violation, and is not a misdemeanor or crime you need to be reporting. And yes, the copy of the certiphi background check you received is the same one a med school will see upon acceptance, which shows you are clean.
