I saw that some people had interviews, but I didnt know if they were in-state or out of state. I'm surprised that I have yet to hear back since I applied early - getting concerned

I haven't either...I submitted mid June, paid my supp. last month and live in Ohio.

If it makes you feel any better I am in in-stater and I have sent in the supplemental and I am still waiting to hear about an interiew. I sent the supplemental (Actually hand delivered it) in October and I am checking my email and mailbox everyday. Last year they invited me for an interview by email as well as by snail mail.

I don't know if it helps any, but I was invited for an interview to WVU last year as an out-of-stater after Christmas for a mid-January interview. I don't know if they had interviewed any out-of-state applicants prior to that or not since I did not attend the interview. And if it helps at all (although it might not) since things get more competitive every year, I submitted in early July, 3.8 cumulative GPA, 3.85 science GPA, 18/18/15.

i heard that wvu favors out of staters with west virgina connection, like that your grandparents lives there or something like that. don't be fooled by the good number of out of staters they accept.

I was invited for an interview last year, and do not have any ties to the school at all.

No news here, and as I lamented a while back, my "other" school would like a deposit by Jan. 4, dang it.

I am a WVU alumini. I had really hoped that I would hear from them but nothing so far.🙁

hey guys,
Im a first year dental student at wvu. Just wanted to let you know that there are students in my class who are out of state without connections...I am from ohio myself, but i did attend marshall for undergrad. I had my interview mid november last year and got accepted 2nd week of december. But i know at least two guys in my class who didn't interview until feb, so anything possible. My advice is to stay in contact with dr. price and make sure they have everything in your application they need. Good luck to everyone if you have any questions feel free to pvt me...i'll try to check my email this week since we're on break i may actually have some time.

those accepted out of staters without ties to wv either are super cool or have killer stats. the point is that they really seek people who are willing to stay in wv after graduation. good luck!

yes they favor connections but my friends from out of state don't necessarily have 4.0s so anything is possible...good luck
