Question is in the title. I'm a US MD grad and working on applying to match this year after receiving my passing score. I am wondering how much my past failures will affect my application and what is the best way to go about ensuring that I match this?

Any Step failure will negatively affect your application. It depends on what speciality you are applying into, how broadly you are applying and what other red flags you have in your application. If you have received your passing score recently and programs already know about your past failed scores, I would update them asap. And get mentors to advocate for you at programs.
