I got a 18 AA and 17 PAT first time. My in-state school told me they would not accept anyone below a 18 PAT. I applied anyway, did not get accepted (guess they meant it), and was told to retake and try next year. I need help with the math. I need some good review books for the trig and especially the word problems. I did not study that section hard because I always scored 18 or higher on practice tests. But, my test was loaded with hard word problems about 15 and I was mentally drained by that point. My Org Chem was harder than anyone's posts I have read before. I was expecting it to be my easiest science section, but I guess I had the test from hell. Alot of very specific reactions, not obvious ones, had never seen some of them, some experimental procedure questions about lab that were very specific not covered in Kaplan, and some dienes and diels alder. Therefore, should I try a different review book or did I just get a bad test that day? I aced both of my Org classes. I have heard others say that the test varies greatly. One day you can get a east test and one day a killer one. Lastly and most obviously, I need help with the PAT. I just don't naurally see the stuff. I am close but need help getting over the edge. My Topscore was like everyone else, low 20's. I think I just got nervous after the Org and everything went down hill. It did not seem that bad until I got the score. Is DAT Achiever and some more practice enough to get me that bump up a point? Any input would be great from those you can help me get these sections up. By the way my QR was a 14 and Org Chem a 16. Hence, my low AA. I truly was expecting at least a 20 AA and 18 PAT. Hell, my AA on Topscore was 19, 20, and 20. I never thought I would go down. Did I get screwed with a bad test, everyone. (please no smart comments, I really would like to know others experiences compared to their practice tests and real thing.) Thanks,
