nope. hope it doesn't mean my match was a mistake or anything. when should we expect to hear form them? or should we call them ourselves?
 
I thought the cure for matchitis was the match?
 
sometimes people suffer residual symptoms, like chronic worry syndrome 😀

I heard from my program about 2 hours after I found out 😍
 
Anyone feel likethey have been ridden hard and put away wet. My room mate (also matched) have just been walking around the APT in a daze all day using up oxygen. Time to go to the gym....
 
I heard from Indy earlier today.
 
The condition we are suffering has a name...PTSD. ha

i got an email from my prog today with dates and stuff. I imagine the holiday weekend mixed with the odd hours an er doc works has some effect on when we hear.

dude it took me wayyy too long to figure out what holiday was this weekend. but it makes sense that not all of us would hear right away.
 
Got a few phone calls from the PD, assistant PD, co-chiefs. Way more contact than I was expecting...
 
It's not unusual to take a few days/weeks to hear.

:laugh: this was me all day yesterday and this am. People were like, "aren't you happy?". I was still dazed! For so long I had to keep myself from thinking about all the great things associated with my #1, apparently that required a lot of energy....


To answer the question, I got a welcome email from my new PD, as well as the assoc PD and program coordinator 😍. My new class and I have been put in contact and are exchanging emails. Heck, we are already up on the website! 🙂 But I think different programs have their own style/pace. Congrats again!

I heard from my PD, coordinator & 3 or 4 seniors! They seem like a great crew!😀
 
I got a phone call on speakerphone from some residents and faculty about an hour after I found out, as well as a text message saying "welcome" attached to a sweeeeeet photo of ski tracks down a pristine snow field. That and a lot of wonderful emails from individual residents and faculty. I'm super excited.
 
i got an email from the coordinator talking about the contract to come, ACLS/PALS courses and the start date (june 18th.....eeek!)

i also got a facebook message from a co-intern who knows one of my classmates.

otherwise all silent on the homefront.

I'm happy for you. You're going to have a great time in residency and get to do some awesome skiing 👍
 
So of course my fears were alleviated when I received a call from my institution within one hour of posting this thread.

Aww, thanks! I'm super psyched for you, too! It will be fun to hear how everything's going for everyone across the country at our respective programs.
 
lots of contact from day one. I'm going to love my new program. They make me feel very much 😍
 
still nothing here..but that's cool. i imagine i'll hear something next week.
 
A lot send out a congrats letter rather than a call or email, don't worry.
 
I received an email from the PD on match day with congrats and info. This was a mass email sent to all the new interns.

I also received a phone call, myspace message, and facebook message from 3 residents at the program.
 
called them today- couldn't resist. turns out coordinator had been on vaca last week. start june 23rd. eek!
 
Heard from my assistant PD on Wednesday (March 26) - he had been working night shifts, so wanted to call when he was awake!
 
emails from several residents and also an email from the pd. wonder when the contract'll come.
