hey guys, i'm having a horrible time with anatomy, histology, and biophysics. School started last week and i'm really confused.

the prof's don't tell us what's imp. and what's not. Are we supposed to just read the chapters in the text in order? (even though we haven't done that in class)? and the prof's just seem to go over a little bit of the chapter whereas in the text, the chapter's horribly long and there's so much info. So what do I follow?

and i'm using Clinical Oriented Anatomy by Moore for anatomy along with Grant's dissector. Is that sufficient? (oh and i bought the netter's flashcards too)

and for histology, i'm using Basic Histology (atlas and text) by Junqueira and it's quite hard to read (coz of the small printed text).

for biophysics, we are following the univs.' publication and that's horribly confusing too (as it's mostly filled with incomprehensible equations!!!)

we have our first anatomy text next week and i'm really freakin out. Any tips on how to go by studying anatomy, histology, or biophysics would be greatly appreciated guys.

I can't say this is true for every class and every school but it seems that almost all of the reading materials that you get are simply to help you understand exactly what is taught in the classroom on the teachers powerpoints. My first semester has anatomy(with embyology), histology, and biochem yet the only book that I've found to be necessary was the BRS for anatomy and also reading the blue boxes in Moore. Other than these, I've spent a lot of money on books that I will never even open.

Oh...and also wikipedia is incredibly helpful if you need an answer fast...i know its not guaranteed to be correct but for the vast majority of cases it great
