I am doing an informal post bac and I basically get last priority with classes. Now I was able to pick up some classes, but the hard science classes that I want are really impacted. A good majority of my classes are gonna be "easy" science classes that are upper div, it has the prefix bio in front of it. So I am thinking as long as its a bio upper div it will count towards my science gpa. Obviously taking hard science classes and doing well is ideal, but that might not be an option for me. Was wondering if taking these upper div science classes is a waste or time or is very beneficial. THe main objective is to get excellent grades to boost up my science gpa, but don't want to look bad with adcoms.

Which classes are you talking about? I found that most schools are okay if you take non-calculus based physics, but some schools require 3000/4000 level microbiology etc.

this biol 300 and up classes, like for example here are the class names I am looking at one is human body, plants medicine and drugs, academic writing, and ecology and environment. Are currently the not hard science classes I am looking at. They all are upper div biology except the academic writing. I ask my counselor and she said academic writing is really good for dental school. So am thinking about taking that class

When ds talk about upper division courses they are thinking more on the lines of anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, histology, cell biology, molecular biology/genetics or zoology and less on the Ecosystem in Eastern Patagonia.
