Having Trouble Deciding--PCOM or UHS

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
PCOM.

Amazing reputation, Philadelphia is a great city with incredible hospitals, the people are great, and I am here.

So I'm a little biased.

I think it also depends on what part of the country you want to live in for the next four years. I know that PCOM grads go all over the country for residency and about half go into specialties. With the age of PCOM and the class size, you can't go far without stumbling over a PCOM grad. Facilities here are great too.

Best of luck with your decision.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me.

Go to PCOM, for explanation see the same post in the osteopathic forum.

You have to find the place that you feel the most comfortable. You can?t rely on other peoples opinions. If you base your decisions on what others think you will be disappointed.

Personally, I like the curriculum better at UHS. It fits me and the way I learn. PCOM is a great school though and all the good things they say about it are true! Good luck!

Both are well respected schools...it honestly boils down to where you wish to live. As a UHS Alum, I know our graduates got into great residencies all over the country...but PCOM really is a great great school as well. Go with your heartfelt feeling, if you are from the east coast, you will likely prefer PCOM, and visa versa re: midwest.

Hey jgrico,

Are you in the upcoming class at UHS? If so, come join in the fun in our UHS Class of 2007 thread.
