hi guys,
i am curious what processes are involved in getting licensed in the state of Hawaii as a dentist as a foreign trained dentist.
i understand that RT exams for thsoe non-ada accredited school graduates won't be held anymore as of May 2004; is this correct?

so does this mean that there is absolutely no way that we can practice in Hawaii without going through Adv. Standing Programs???

which states are the possble options then? i really hate to be doing Adv. Standings...

any comments...?? thanks for your help.

Unfortunately the answer is yes, that's correct regarding Hawaii,
Now the only open door is Miniapolis (u can straight away take the licensing exam if they feel u r qualified enough) :luck:

Sorry mate. You and one hundred of non-US trained dentists in this forum probably share the same feeling regarding Advanced Standing programs. But you do have a choice! You are still a few years away from graduation... what are your plans? What is the attraction to goto the US? To open a practice? You could do that back home in Oz... To start a specialty training? Are you going to immigrate to the US? Just concentrate on your clinical requirements at Adelaide and get ready to graduate. Only after then, you can start considering what you want to do. If you have more questions, feel free to email me. You could PM me first.

hi, mightymolar!
i was just trying to PM you as you told me to, but then you were not receiving any messages...hmm..
well...please, let me know if you decide to change your settings to receive messages or something.

thanks!
