For those of you who read other forums, I apologize for the cross posting (also posted in the EM forum)...think of it as respect to from an EM resident who realizes that a lot of CCM is anesthesiology-based and that in a few academic places, anesthesia is still involved in trauma codes for airway...

Do any of you know of any evidence for pretreatment with lidocaine before intubation in head trauma?

If it's an ER doctor intubating, I highly recommend it.
