i figure we need a thread to balance out the "can't wait till dec 1 to hear results" one

for the less fortunate ones like us, what are your thoughts? my confidence is starting to shrink and the world is starting to collapse 🙁

i would be thankful even to get in any waitlist spot in jan..*sigh*

Keep your chin up. All these people with multiple interviews can't go to multiple schools. There will be plenty of love to spread post December.

Do you have any actual rejections?

If so, give an admissions officer at the school(s) you got rejected at a call and ask why you were rejected. They're usually pretty nice about it but the worst thing that they could say is "we don't re-review applications after a decision has been made".

I honestly wish more schools were like UOP where they don't look to reject but instead keep re-reviewing all the applications (I also wish more schools asked you to call directly for "a more personal response to your questions"). Classy school UOP, classy school.

Yeah! And people that get in on Dec 1st might be canceling interviews so more spots will open up too 🙂

You also have to keep in mind that you might not be able to get in this year. Try to figure out what might be the reason that you didn't get an interview. If it seems the DAT or the extra curricular activities, it'll be great to start working on it just in case you didn't get in this year.

yea UOP is one of the school i applied. Due to family constrain i could only apply to school in NorCal, so my choices are very limited. I haven't hear back from any schools, so didn't hear any rejections. With 3.94 Science GPA and 24/22/20 I thought they would at least give me a chance to interview. I am afraid to retake the DAT because I may get lower score, since +/-2 pts are matters of 1 problem. I think all I can do is try to rack up EC and shadowing next year and try again.

You have great stats, you don't need to retake your DATs. Your weaknesses aren't there. If everything else is in place, hopefully you'll get an interview.

Just wait it out =) It also depends on how many schools you applied to. Less schools means less chances for interview invites, so that's probably the reason if you mainly applied to schools in norcal. Just wait until they get to your application for review 🙂

buddy, you got great stats and should be getting an interview post dec. i am in the same boat as you, no pre-dec interviews with worse numbers 22AA and 3.2 sGpa, and im expecting at least 1 interview... then again i applied to 20 schools. g/l

the thing is, they already reviewed my application (in uop's case is re-review in jan...) since i submitted pretty early. so i suppose they passed on me already 🙁

i just hope i don't become the one even the stray rejects in fact, i am willing to be on their backup, as long as they give me a chance next year 😀

thats my main weakness, only have 40 hours of volunteering, 20hrs of shadowing. but i do have 100+ hrs seeing patients as hygienist student.
