Does anyone have a good webpage/news article that talks about the current situation of medical care in the United States? The different issues and their rationale being batted around in government?

Thanks.🙄

thanks very much.

That's a pretty broad topic. You could probably find quite a few books on the subject.

I'm currently reading one called Severed Trust, by the former editor of JAMA (is his name "Lundberg"?) Also, other books by physicians or patients about their experiences are bound to raise current issues in medicine. Peruse the "medical" section of a couple bookstores. Good luck.

I agree that is a very BROAD topic. I am currently finishing my MPH degree and have spent hours talking about it and writing papers. There are many aspects of this to consider. Do you want to know about medicare and prescription drugs? How about medicaid and access (or lack there of) they have to care from physicians? You can also talk about the fact that PPOs and managed care costs of health care are rising and that there is not a solid plan as of yet to try and contain costs. This last bit I know has a few physicans worried that socialized medicine is on the rise with more inquerys into universal health care. If you had a specific ideal about the current state that your intrested in I would be more than happy to try and help. 🙂
