Someone called me about the Maine projects for HealthCorp - way DownEast! - I don't think I'm going to do it but I thought I would post this site for other people who might want to try it for a summer or a whole year. The stipend is rediculously low, but in a place like Maine you just can't go wrong. Also, you get $5,000 for student loans/grad school at the end.

I never did Healthcorps..but knew a few who did and said it was a great experience (despite the low stipends). Just a word of caution though about the $5,000 for loans....it's not guaranteed anymore. My understanding is that some programs are able to secure funding while others are not - so be sure to ask before you sign on for anything.
