I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing the same anxiety:

I've heard from abour 1/4 of the places I've applied to. A few rejections, and a few interviews. I thought I'd have heard from most of the places by now. Does not hearing = rejection? I figured that I would get a whole bunch of emails last week.

When I applied two years ago, I only got rejection letters or e-mail from about 5 or 6 programs. About 9 programs (nearly 1/3 of the places I applied to) never sent me an e-mail or rejection letter. I just assumed I was on hold and never got an interview. Its pretty rude in my opinion not to let you know one way or the other but that's the way it is. My latest interviews came in the second week of January (2 of them) which I didn't go to anyway and I received the majority of my interviews by the middle of November (actually I received the majority even before November 1st) with 2 or 3 programs offering me an interview in December. I know that my program has pretty much offered all the interviews already although if people cancel I think they'll invite more to fill the cancelled spots. I'm betting the next couple of weeks will be filled with more interview invites and then it will be down to a trickle. Good luck
