I will be taking this coming fall semester:

9 credits of grad lectures
3 credits of grad biotech lab
3 credits of pass/fail courses
3 credits of Upper Div (senior) Immunology with a supposedly difficult prof

I think I would be OK since I have taken 9 credits of grad before and got 4.0 with many other preoccupations. But the thing that I am worried about is that if an interview strikes, everything will fall apart. Has anyone else taken a heavy course-load like this and had to go to interviews? What was it like for you?

I would tell myself to finish my Master's first and worry about interviews later, but interviews can easily determine whether you get accepted or rejected! I guess I can always hope for a post-dec 01 interview but of course... 😀

What does everyone think? Should I just try to do a lower course load and focus more on interviews and potentially get a higher grade on each or do everything at once and save time and money and also show adcom I can handle this many credits o_o?

If I manage to get all A's (hahaha 😵) all gpa sections will be 3.35 to 3.31 after academic update too...

CANgnome, if I were you, I wouldn't take 3 credits pass/fail courses and 3 credits of upper with difficult prof.

pass/fail courses will count to your MS degree but it will NOT count towards your AADSAS GPA. I have 9 credits pass/fail courses and they are not included in my GPA and not included in my credit hours.

upper div with diffult prof might be a bad idea too... try to find another upper sci course with easy prof! 😀

GPA is the top priority you should concern.

there is an issue with the scheduling of everything and Immunology is one of the things that fit in to my time. I'm going to try to move things around.

The pass/fails are required for me to graduate so I don't have much choice :x I am hoping that I do not need to put too much effort into them to pass!
