Hey everyone! Congrats to those that were accepted.

I'm in an aweful situation.

Here's my GPA and DAT Score:

3.14 Regular
2.94 Science

DAT 16 AA 17 PA

(+) 5000 hrs in a dental office
(+) Managed Front and Back office
(+) Research on Cleft Palate
(+) Volunteer Work

Ok, so I tried to apply for some post bac programs, all the application deadlines have been satisfied!!! So this summer I'm thinking of taking
Anatomy
Microbio
Physio
Biological Development I'm taking these classes to raise my GPA.
Am i on the right track?
Does anyone know of any other advice for post bac programs or other programs that may help? Any words of advice will help me. Thanks u guys. I've been in the field for too long, now i need to focus.
 
seems like a heavy course load for the summer. But it's all up to you

I recommend retaking DAT. You can't do much about GPA anymore. You never know... But with that DAT, you won't get much response but if you raise you DAT a bit, you have a chance at some schools... You can always test your luck and save some years. It doesn't hurt to apply. My GPA is not that much differ from yours and my DAT isn't that great but I got some interviews and got into one school. 🙂
 
I think i will re-take my dat as well... so frustrating!
 
SMP with 3.8-4.0
and DAT 20+

Stats-wise, you could be URM but you'd get immediately rejected from Meharry, that's how bad of a situation you're in... You'd better ace the DAT and get all A's in your masters program. If you've missed all the deadlines, take a year off to work & study for the DAT, enter your masters program, and apply in 2 years. If you haven't put in the work during your undergrad (which, by the looks of it, you haven't), better start working hard now. Good luck. If it is your dream, you'll make it eventually, just be patient and work your ass off.

Just trying to motivate the OP to get his ish together, know what I'm saying? He/she obviously needs a jolt.

By the way mister statistician, what's Meharry's Sci GPA average, is it under 3.0? I'm no expert on that school.
