so i sent in my deposit to reserve my seat at PCOM over a month ago...and i haven't received any info from them since! no financial aide info, no orientation info, not even a bumper sticker! is this happing to everyone? or just me?

i called the admission office and they said they had indeed received my deposit. how long does it usually take for schools to send out stuff to new students?

thanks

congratulations on your pcom acceptance. they're pretty slow about getting you information. financial aid stuff should probably start arriving around june. schedules, health insurance info, etc will be sometime over the summer. just fill out your fafsa and try to relax. if you have any questions, im in the end of my first year.

I am in a similar situation. The admissions folks indicated to me that they will soon be sending confirmation letters out. That is within the next several weeks. After that everything else will trickle in (late spring & early summer) as we approach orientation.

Be sure to join us 09ers on the official PCOM 2009 thread under the Osteopathic forum!!

I'm sure there is a great deal of movement/turnover in the coming months, thus the reason why schools wait until almost summer to send the bulk of the materials for incoming students. Lots of people send in deposits and don't end up matriculating, so this delay probably cuts down on some hassle/costs for them...even though it probably drives students nuts. Oh well, one more annoying thing about this process! Congrats though, I have my PCOM interview in two weeks...
