Hello, My name is Vuong Rong, and I am new to the Student Doctor Network. I am now a freshman at the University of Utah and I have decided that I want to go into Dental School. I have even chose my major, which is biology. I was wondering if you guys have any advice that you can give me so that I can graduate from college with biology as my major. Are there any classes that you suggest that I take to accomplish my goal. Thank you.

Pretty much all of the science classes you might want to take will probably be required for your biology major. Some other classes you might want to take to help would be business, psychology, any fine arts, etc. Basically, these are just to show that you are well-rounded and will give you some other skills that can help once you get out there and begin practicing. More dental students are biology majors than any others so you will have to find something to distinguish yourself from the rest. Regardless, the most important thing that will help you to achieve your goal is to GET GOOD GRADES! Shoot for straight As always.
