Hey guys,

I'm taking the DAT beginning of August and am wondering should I submit AADSAS now or wait to see how DAT goes (and submit at that time)? Does it make a difference this year as schools are getting DAT scores electronically and don't look at the app anyway till you have a DAT score? Will submitting now or In August make a big difference?

i would say submit now, since AADSAS still needs to confirm your transcript and GPA.
if after your DAT you submit, then AADSAS will take another week or two to confirm your GPA, which would slow down your application process.

I also want to submit my application before I take the DAT in August. However, I am not sure when I can officially hit submit.

1.) Can I submit before one of my transcript shows that it is received? I have one school (that I only took one class at) that is still lagging and it still does not show up as received. My main school transcript is received.

2.) Can I submit BEFORE AADSAS does their own GPA calculations? They won't do it until all transcripts are received correct?

3.) If I submit in July (but DAT in Aug), do you think that is considered among the later batch of applicants?

Yes, Yes, Kind of

AADSAS will *not* start GPA calculations until after you e-submit. You should submit as soon as you have everything except DAT, LOEs, and Transcripts. Once the transcripts are in AADSAS will then calculate your GPA (Takes ~5 days). e-submitting ASAP is in your best interest.

I'm not 100% on whether or not they mail out the app t schools before your DAT comes in-- I'm in a similar position. I'm submitted a week ago, but my DAT is on saturday. I guess I'll find out if they try to submit before my scores come in (since that apparently takes 2-3 weeks after test date)

DAT definitely holds up your app for consideration by schools, so earlier DAT is better, but e-submit asap.
