Can anyone offer advice on schools to apply to from my list or any recommendations would be awesome. I haven't most of the schools, and I don't know much about the history or a lot of them so if I leave a school out that you know is a great school please let me know!

My stats: FL resident, 3.6sGPA, 3.7cGPA, 28Q MCAT, good EC's and DO letter

My list:
PCOM, KCUMB, LECOM-bradenton and erie, Edward Via-VA campus, and University of New England, and Nova.

Other schools I thought about:
DMU, Arizona of Midwestern, Lincoln Memorial, New York College of osteopathic med, PCOM-GA campus, RVUCOM.

If you know that any of the schools on my list are a long shot for a FL resident or someone with my scores let me know, or if any of the schools I thought about or missed completely might seem more appropriate that the ones I chose, let me know! Thanks for replying!

Stat-wise you're in good shape for pretty much any of them. Most people would likely add KCOM and CCOM unless you're opposed to the middle-of-nowhere or Chicago. Personally I'd throw AZCOM back on it, but I'm a bit biased...

There are plenty of threads that touch on schools that are "top-ranked," "best," "most recommended," and any other superlative you can think to use, so searching the forums will likely yield some useful information also.

agreed!

Don't bother with New Englad School, they are very in state friendly, they won't even give a secondary till december after they have filled most spots with in state students!
Having gone to UNE, I beg to differ. UNE is VERY out of state friendly. I'd say at least 30% of my class was from non-New England areas, whether international students or US students. Most students come from New England because that's where the majority of their applicants come from. UNE is NOT a state school, they're private. And they have NOT filled most of their spots with in-state students by December. I was from Colorado, got a secondary in August, had an invite by Labor Day, and acceptance by October. Not early decision either.

Be careful listening to folks who are spouting rhetoric they have heard from others which may not be true.

I agree with Shy Rem. I am international student (which counts as OOS) and I received UNE secondary the next day after my AACOMAS app was released.

NYCOM is also a very excellent school... Your grades are very close to their class average so it may be a good school to add to your list

I would add AZCOM but of course I'm biased too, as well as CCOM, DMU, and PCOM-GA. Some schools depends on where you like to live. My husband and I are really not interested in living in rural areas which is why we didn't go to DCOM although I loved the school and the people were great. If you don't mind rural I would add DCOM and KCOM also.
