Doctors (and future Doctors),
As you know Colorado became an "opt-out" state last year. In response the University of Colorado has provided real leadership and is trying to obtain legal status for our AA colleagues through legislature and is starting an AA school. If you have the time please support your Colorado Anesthesiologist in fighting for our licensure by supporting this bill. Let's fight fire with fire!
Thanks for looking.
Which one?
Sorry, couldn't help it.
Thanks for the post.
This one mainly!
Also please note I have attached two word files with all the CO senators and reps emails so you can just cut and paste.
Thanks again
Will pass it on to my buddies in CO. They might get suspicious if they saw my Cleveland area code calling.
Ok thanks for post... will help spread the word!
Hockeyguy,
Thanks for the info. Do you currently work with AAs or CRNAs in your practice or are you in a MD only group? If not, do you anticipate hiring any if this legislation passes? I'm also curious if there is much opposition from the CRNAs to this bill or do they even have a presence in Colorado?
I'm interested in what other groups are planning if this legislation passes.

"deepseadiver," are you at it again?
I'm not going to tell you what gives you away every time. You'll figure it out eventually.

FYI - the house bill passed and AAs are now licensed in Colorado.

Yes.
Now let's start hiring them.

It's already started, I have at least one classmate working there already.Yes.

Any chance of a locum tenens gig in Aspen in February? 😀
Man, I flew all the way out to Denver a year ago for an interview but they couldn't hire me or anyone else because it didn't fly with the hospital that we weren't licensed in Colorado. I really wanted to move out there. Nice that the bill passed now.
Great news! Need to make AA licensing a priority for every opt out state. Now I'm sure the nurses pissed off a bunch of Anesthesiologists in CO. Perhaps the MDs are motivated enough to close down some of the nurse factories and replace them with AA programs. How sweet will that be!

👍
That is great news.
