I have two questions concerning aamcas:

1.) Is my wife considered a dependent?

2.) Where is that radio button on the aamcas application where you select if you agree to be waived of the right to view your LORs?

Thanks for any help. I gotta get this app in........

Well, I'm not really qualified to answer the first question... Although dependants are usually defined as someone who you provide at least 50% for... or something?
As for the second question - your LORs are sent directly to the schools when they request them. AMCAS has nothing to do with LORs and I don't believe there is a button indicating that you have waived your right to view your letters. Some schools have specific forms to indicate that you have waived your right, and some LOR services already include such information.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, maybe I saw that button on my aacomas application. Appreciate the help. Anyone else have any insight on my wife being a dependent? Thanks,

Seth

No one knows what the deal is with my wife being a dependent huh? Surely, someone who has applied is married...oh, and, bump.

try calling AMCAS and asking. I'm sure it probably depends on your situation. Do you consider her a dependent on tax forms?

I believe that in legal terms your wife can be a dependant; like Spiffy said as long as you are providing at least 50% for her.

Of course I am not a lawyer so if I were you I would call.
