I just want to ask if anyone can help with my stay (just one night) when I come for my interview in blacksburg. my interview is on the 26th and I will be in town on the 25th. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

If you call the school and ask to speak with Megan Settle, she can more than likely help you out.

I just had my interview there. I was in the first group they had and I was really impressed with the school and the staff.

I stayed at the Ameriasuites (ask for the med school rate $71). They had about 15 people staying there that night so it was VERY quiet. Nice huge room with desk and big stuffed chair and ottamen, micro, small refrigerator and a nice free continental breakfast. It took 6 minutes to drive to the school so that was also nice.

Good luck

Amy B,

Thanks. So how was the interview? Was is laid-back or stressful? Would you mind sharing the questions you were asked?

I was supposed to interview early also but I shifted it to 26th. I also have 2 other interviews close to that date.

I want to cut cost if possible by staying with someone. Anyway thanks again and please respond to my questions.

Hi,
I was very relaxing and stress-free. There is one interviewer that is a bit more gruff, but he is a bit of a jokester. Even the student we had lunch with siad he is a hoot in class. You have three interviews. They come into the conferance room to personally escort you to their offices. Tour of school, lunch and a driving tour of Blacksburg by Megan. We squished the guys in the very back seat of the mini van. (Sorry guys, but the women wanted the extra space of the front seats. they were quite gallant in letting us have the front).

Some questions were as follows:
1. Why Osteopathic?
2. What does your husband do, and what do your kids think about having to move?
3. Tell me about yourself?
4. tell me about a significant event in your life
5. And one ethical question, with no right or wrong answer.
6. What are you doing in Biochem right now. This was from the prof who happened to teach Biochem.

That's all I can remember right now. All the staff was great, the interviewers were great and I love Blacksburg.

Good luck.

Hi Amy B,

I was going to ask how many people interview together with you?

Thanks.

There were 3 girls and 3 guys. I was wondering if they planned on having the even split of males/females. All the people I interviewed with were really nice. I was the oldest but that is too be expected when you are in your 30's.
