With only March, April and May left to go I've got a major case of senioritis with complications of wanting to just VEG OUT until graduation! All rank order lists are turned in and none of the remaining rotations is at a place that I ranked.

Help! Antidote needed before I slip into a terminal laziness state!

I vote for a temporary stuporous state until you start residency. You deserve the R&R.

Peace and congrats on soon kissing med school goodbye.

Senioritis -----yes me too. I haven't been on time in about 2 months. I certainly haven't read anything remotely educational in at least 6 weeks. I think my posts on SDN have quadrupled in the last month just because I am not doing anything else!

The first step in managing a disease is to embrace that there is a problem. In the case of senioritis, the next step is enjoy the Sx before they are cured by residency.

I agree heartily - relax. You'll be working hard enough soon enough! If you're used to working like a fiend like you have been since age 5, that's difficult. However, you HAVE earned a break 😀

You earned it!!!! 😀 Enjoy it while it lasts.

Hi there,
I was in the same boat as you. I took Step II in August and after the match, I only had to show up and get my degree. April was my vacation month.

njbmd 🙂

Oh, to be a 4th year medical student after the match.....

Yours is a common problem. Don't worry, it will be magially cured on your first day of internship.

Enjoy.

Me too. I'm all matched and ready to veg out, and I have an AI in april. In the MICU. I must've been on crack when I filled out my schedule last year... 😉
