My DAT is August 25th, and I am very nervous. My BIO and PAT scores are pretty good, but I am confident I can make them better. The thing I am worried about is Gen Chem, O Chem (not too much), QR, and RC. Does anyone have any tips on a study schedule I can adopt for these topics? Please let me know, thanks! Also, if anyone has any tips for RC, I would def appreciate it!

16 Days left to go!

I'd suggest Chad's Videos for GC and OC. He teaches everything you need to know for DAT. Go through the videos and take notes like you would in a normal classroom. You can get through these videos in two weeks on a slow pace (one chapter per day) or one week (two chapters per day). Go through Chad's notes as much as you can and take advantage of his quizzes and outlines. If you do sign up for Chad's videos, please refer me, I would appreciate so much!

If you can, order DAT Destroyer and MATH Destroyer. Usually, these would take a few weeks to go over, but given your amt of time I think you can get through most of DAT Destroyer (for GC and OC) and maybe half of MATH Destroyer. But again, it's depending on the pace you're going at.

For tips, go through the easy problems on QR section. If a problem takes you too long (ie. a word problem), mark it. However, a lot of people have told me that QR section is mostly word problems.

Yea, I've seen a few of Chad's videos before, they look pretty helpful. I'll def. refer you if I decide to sign up. I just ordered the DAT Destroyer and its going to be arriving tomorrow. Also, when you said a lot of people said the QR section is word problems, did you mean on the DAT or on the Destoryer? And how important is the QR section? I heard some Dental Schools dont really care about it, but I guess it comes down to what that individual school looks for.

QR on the DAT mostly has word problems, at least what people have generally been saying here on the forums. But Math Destroyer will none the less prepare you for most if not all question types they can throw at you.

Some people here will say one bad section won't throw you off, but I don't know. I think every section is really important to score a 18+ on. If you really want to stand out in an interview, a 20+ in all sections would be ideal.

Good luck!

Is the math portion of the DAT Destoryer sufficient enough? I also took a Kaplan Live Online class, and have all their workshops, section tests, etc.

Most will either refer either Math Destroyer or Crack DAT Math. It depends on how comfortable you are with the QR section. If you don't feel comfortable, either material will help you prepare for the QR. However, if you do plan on buying Math Destroyer with the DAT Destroyer, they have a special bundle where the Math Destroyer is only $50 more as opposed to $100.

But given your other extra materials, I think the DAT Destroyer should be sufficient. But, more study materials wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing 🙄.
