I'm an MD Candidate and looking to take next year off between MS3/4. My dilemma: whether to attend Harvard's Global Health MPH or London School/Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSE/LSHTM) Master's in Health Policy, Planning and Financing.

I'm very conflicted. On the one hand, I love being back in EU to take advantage of making European connections, having more time away from class to work on projects and to be in London. On the other hand, Harvard is Harvard and the domestic health policy connections are unbeatable.

My career plans: become EMED board certified, have the opportunity to work in a global NGO in a leadership position while having enough influence to enact change on our domestic health care policy here in the United States.

Any advice would be much appreciated!!

If you plan to work in global health, the Harvard name carries even more weight in other countries than it does in the US.

I see..but does the name recognition outweigh the experience of establishing contacts overseas? Ill be doing my medical training in the US so this could also be my year to establish worldly connections..
