Help! I think I got scammed for books!

I don't know where else to put this so I'll put this here. If it doesn't belong here mods please move to the appropriate forum.

Dear SDN,

I payed 295$ through paypal for a set of TBR books back in October (yeah I know its been a long time) through a vendor here named "Monet Samson". According to her she shipped the books and has been trying to claim insurance ever since. I've been stupidly trusting because I've been extremely busy (and I generally like to believe people on SDN are honest), and every time I email her she complains about how "the office is slow and unresponsive." Now that its way past the 45 days that I can file a paypal dispute, am I completely SOL or can I still do something about it (credit card chargeback, etc?) I'm still mad at myself for falling for something as stupid at this.

Yikes. I would try to see if any of mods can try to find out more about Monet. Did she give you a number to reach her at? If the person shipping the books has truly done it (I don't know why you would ever want to go through a vendor in the first place), can you reach he or she through a number? Can you jointly file a complaint? I guess I am not particularly clear on your situation.

From what I know of SDN, I have never heard of a vendors/brokers for books on here...I could be wrong.

Annnddd I can't find any results on Monet. This is definitely NOT ok on this forum.
