Hello, I am working full time as a medical technologist and it is time for me to choose my vacation and schedule for the next year. Please help me choose my vacation time and regular work schedule so it will coincide with my interview date. Does medical school offer interview 5 days a week?

Help me choose my regular schedule. I work night shift (12am-8am)
I can either work Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs

Now help me choose my vacation time
I am planning to take the MCAT May 22, so I should be verify by early July, when should I be expecting to interview for medical school?

Thank you in advance for your help

Sincerely,
Shek-Man Tsui

Answer to the bolded part: No. Many schools interview only two or three days a week and it varies widely by school. The good part is that you can schedule your own interviews so you're not stuck.

Choose your work schedule with whatever works for you. Neither one really provides you with a lot of options during the week for interviews. Personally I would pick the first one just because if you have an interview on Monday you can leave for it on Sunday and spend the night in the city of the school.

Vacation: you can get interviews as early as late august and as late as february, or even march. No one can tell you what you will get or where or when and how many so this is something only personal to you. If you want to take some time off to be able to do secondaries with faster turnaround during the summer, it might be easier to take the time off then.

good luck!
