Help me create school list!!! please applying late

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am a NJ resident I am clicking submit tonight (I know I am late I didn't want to waste money as I thought I bombed my MCAT)

GPA: about 3.9
science GPA: 3.85
MCAT: 30 (12 PS, 9 V, 9 BS) (unbalanced, not sure how this happened?)

I have very strong ECS and have a solid personal statement. Besides the NJ schools which other schools should I add.

Please Obi Wan your my only hope  #anewhope

Assuming you already applied to:
Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School
Cooper Medical School of Rowan University

Other schools hmm...
Drexel Medical School.
Alot of Rutgers graduates go there and they are only slowly starting to send out secondary applications now. So you will not be very far behind.

Other nearby schools:
Albany Medical College
George Washington University
New York Medical College
Temple University
The Commonwealth Medical College
Pennsylvania State University

More distant schools:
Rosalind Franklin University
Western Michigan Medical School
Loma Linda Medical School

You have a good chance based on your stats if you had applied on June 10th. Unfortunately it is getting later and later for the MD cycle. You got good numbers so I have good faith that you can land in one of the NJ schools. Just work fast and try and pre-write all of your secondary applications now while you are waiting to get verified. I would also suggest purchasing MSAR and look up schools that way. It not only makes it easy to find schools that fit your numbers but will definitely help with gathering information for the secondaries.

Good Luck and keep at it!

How do I prewrite the secondaries like how does that work? Do I just anticipate getting offered secondaries

Pretty much. If you had applied earlier then you would look at last years secondary essays and pre-write based on those. More often than not they re-use the same ones over and over and you can feel safe pre-writing them for a school that has not changed them in five years. The nice thing about now is that many of the secondary essays have been released for this cycle so you can pre-write them with confidence. Because unfortunately there have been many posts by applicants that are very frustrated that a school changed their essays after they had just finished pre-writing them the day before.

The thing about secondaries is that more often than not you will get them because they involve the school getting more money out of you. Most secondaries cost around $80 each. So they would prefer to send you a secondary then reject you afterward getting some extra money. Besides! With your stats I can almost guarantee that no school is going to pre-screen you. The only thing you have against you is time right now. So get working.

If you are curious where to find the secondaries. look under the threads at the top for school specific threads 2013-2014 and start clicking away. I also know that there is a master thread with all of them compiled together. I would just search for that one instead.

by now all the prompts for the schools are known, so if you dig through the school specific forums you can find all the prompts so you'll have the essays written ahead of time

God Bless you! thanks so much for your advice. Are you a Rutgers student as well?

Yep and living in the Livingston Apartments next semester!

Check out Loma Linda's secondary questions before you apply.

Also listen to this one. Much more experienced than me. This is my first time applying so I am only passing along what I have learned along the way.

Edit: Oh dear, that is why I didn't apply there. I remember people telling me that I should apply there based on the stats of the students that matriculate. That secondary application is kinda horrifying for someone who is not a Seventh-day Adventist.
