I have a few schools I'm trying to decide on: SUNY Upstate, SUNY Downstate, Albany, SLU, and Drexel. If you were to rank these schools, how would you do it and why?

I am not concerned about the money but am concerned about the relative qualities of education/life at these schools. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! 🙂

Well, from what I've heard Albany is pretty good.... With Drexel (I dunno if this would influence your decisions) though Drexel is a good school, Hahnemman nearly went bankrupt a few years ago... I don't know where it stands now, but that definitely impacted my decision to withdraw my interview from there.

Hi I don't knwo much about the schools, but perhaps you should check out their match lists as well as their reputations.

The SUNY system is quite a good one! I also like SLU but anyhow it's up to you....

When I interviewed at SLU, I was totally unimpressed. Besides the fact that they didn't care that we (interviewees) were there and my interviewer hadn't read my file, I hated St. Louis. Also, SLU has had problems with the boards in recent years. I don't know much about the other schools other than two friends of mine are planning on going to Upstate and think they'll really enjoy it.

When I went to St Louis, I asked where I could get a cup of coffee and they sent me down to a dingy bookstore in the basement where they had a thermos of coffee.

After getting used to having to choose between Starbucks, Au Bon Pain, and Seattle's Best in Boston, I decided SLU might not be for me. I am sure the training is excellent there though.
