Will someone be willing to proofread my personal statement and give me feedback? I am reapplying this June.

I decided to rewrite my statement because my last one sucked. When I'm done editing it I will PM you. Thank you so much.

For people who also wish for someone to review your statement, you can post here as well.

I am not the best with grammar or writing, but I can look over your ideas. PM me if you would like.

take it to your career development center at your univ. they will be able to help you the most and its free. Their experience will surely help.

Dont share your ps w/ people online. You might never know.

Ask your friends to critique it first.
I find it to be a great first step.

also, take it to the writing center at your school.

I took mine there many times over, because these guys were writing majors and did a good job fine-tuning it..... and best of all, its a free service.

Everytime I went there, I asked for a different reader (more eyes = better tuneups)

and your health profession advisor if you got one. He/she might be good too

I can take a look at your PS if you'd like. 🙂

Who are the people that you trust sending your statement to, besides doc toothache?

People that you see post a lot and aren't in your application class is a good start. You can also ask your dentist or person you shadow a lot for input.

You can PM me for an email to send it to if you'd like. Every person who's PS I have made suggestions for has been accepted to MD, DMD, etc.

^^
He's gonna steal your PS. Rut Roh.

I wouldn't be that stupid. I already have an A+ personal statement!

OP, be careful to whom you send your PS. Look around the forums for the of the guys that had been around the SDN for a while and got accepted into dental schools because some of the "volunteers" could just steel your PS.

As people already said, take it to your University writing centre, some of your profs, maybe your english TA (my TA proofread a couple of science lab reports for me).

Also giving it to people that know you (i.e volunteer coordinator, prof, dentist, etc) might help a lot as they might give opinions on you that you never thought of before.

BTW: Do NOT send it too me, I am just 2nd year and haven't even done my DAT yet.
